A naval partnership to serve you over the long term

With more than 350 years of industrial heritage in naval defense, DCNS boasts a tradition of innovation at the service of naval forces: French initially – because, since the moment of its creation, DCNS has been serving the French navy – and international today, because the Group now also offers to share its expertise with the world’s other navies. Today, other naval forces can now enjoy all the wealth of the “naval partnership” so dear to DCNS.

Above all, DCNS’ commitment is its way of working with its customers, an approach based on the Group’s 4 key strengths:

Commitment Men and women at all times committed to our customers.

Expertise The expertise and experience to manage complex projects.

Innovation The capacity to anticipate future trends at the heart of our corporate culture.

Customer-centricity The expertise and experience of our people to develop better solutions and deliver better service.

DCNS is positioning itself in a growing number of countries. From partnerships with major European players to the creation of subsidiaries, the Group is providing local solutions and providing its customers with service over the long term.

For example, DCNS is producing the first Formidable frigate for Singapore, and arranging a transfer of technology to allow the construction of 5 additional vessels. DCNS is also delivering the first Scorpène submarine to Malaysia, and is setting up DCNS India to enable help better serve its customer locally.

Naval partnership is the essential foundation of the approach adopted by DCNS:

  • DCNS has signed an agreement with Equator for the modernization of the combat system of the two U-209 class submarines.
  • For the French navy, the Group has entered into a R&D cooperation agreement with Converteam: the aim of this contract is to develop a new generation of warship propulsion systems (pods) named Inovelis.
  • DCNS and Rosoboronexport sign a framework agreement to establish a partnership and promote exchanges in research and development.
