Focus on young graduates
Partnerships with higher education
DCNS promotes the creation of partnerships with the French schools of engineering in order to recruit young graduates, to forge special ties in the area of R&D. DCNS favors meetings between young people and professionals active in the field.Apart from its presence at student forums (link to “Key dates”) in all of France, DCNS launches the annual “Poseidon Trophy” web game (link to the website). Through this online game, DCNS invites you to test your knowledge about the maritime world and, ultimately, to finance the involvement of your school in the Edhec sailing race or any other associative project. To stand a hope of crossing the finishing line, the most essential quality is to demonstrate a strong team spirit.
In India, thanks to a partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and three prestigious French institutes of higher education (Ecole navale, Ecole Centrale Nantes, and the Audencia school of management), DCNS offers a study grant to potential high-flying students wanting to join the Group after graduating.
DCNS has also created a partnership with the French Navy offering young people who have trained as engineers to benefit from a 1-year period on a French navy ship followed by the opportunity to join DCNS and take part in the construction of even more efficient vessels
Supporting employment at a local level
In partnership with employment professional and the French Navy, the Filière Compétences skills approach works to prepare young job seekers for production activities within DCNS. The young people will be trained by experienced workers, thereby guaranteeing the transmission of skills and know-how. This initiative also makes it possible to support the employment of young people at a local level and to give greater dynamism to the partnership between DCNS and employment professionals in the regions where the Group is based.
