Vertical launcher system family for modern navies
DCNS continues to expand the SYLVER® family of vertical missile launchers to accomodate a growing range of missile types.SYLVER® launchers offer excellent firepower and high launch rates while guaranteeing the safety of ship and crew in the event of a missile malfunction. An inherently simple design ensures high reliability and ease of maintenance.
SYLVER® launchers have been selected for the French Navy’s Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, La Fayette-class frigates and Forbin-class anti-air frigates (Horizon program), the Italian Navy’s Bergamini-class anti-air frigates (Horizon program), and Cavour aircraft carrier, the Royal Navy’s Type 45 destroyers and the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Formidable-class frigates.
SYLVER® A43 is designed for the Aster 15 anti-air missile.
The A50 for Aster 15 and 30 missiles.
The SYLVER® A70 modules ordered for the Franco-Italian FREMM frigates are designed to accommodate Scalp Naval cruise missiles.
The lightweight and compact SYLVER® A35, with four cells per module, is designed for smaller-displacement warships like the DCNS group’s own Gowind corvettes and missiles like the VL-VT1 and VL-Mica that are less than 3.5 meters in length.
